Dakota Fanning showcased her impeccable spring fashion at “The Watchers” London photo call on Wednesday. Posing for solo shots and a few with the film’s director, Ishana Night Shyamalan, Fanning’s ensemble radiated elegance and seasonal charm.
The actress chose a beautiful dress from Oscar de la Renta’s 2024 pre-fall collection, adorned with intricately designed tulips that echoed the spring season and the upcoming summer. The taupe midi dress, featuring red tulips with green stems and leaves, had a square neckline with straps tied on her shoulders and a matching belt that accentuated her waist.
To complement her spring fashion look, Fanning wore delicate jewelry by London-based designer Jessica McCormack and completed her outfit with Jimmy Choo sandal heels. Her long blonde hair, styled in natural waves by Carlos Ferraz, and her clean makeup look by Mary Greenwell added to her refined appearance. The ensemble was curated by stylist and costume designer Samantha McMillen, with help from Pia Aung.
During “The Watchers” press tour, Dakota Fanning has consistently embraced painted elements and dramatic fashion pieces. For the London screening on Tuesday, she wore a dress from Erdem’s fall 2024 ready-to-wear collection. This sleeveless dress featured an abstract design in blue, black, and white, with gathered fabric at the waist and a full skirt.
The Erdem dress was inspired by opera singer Maria Callas, who died in September 1977 at the age of 53. Designer Erdem Moralıoğlu aimed to capture “the person and the persona” of the opera star, as highlighted in a review by WWD when the collection debuted at London Fashion Week last February.
“The Watchers” follows the story of four strangers trapped in a secluded forest in western Ireland. As they try to escape, they uncover the mysterious creatures lurking in the woods. The film is set to premiere in theaters on June 7.
